For our engineering department at the headquarter in Füllinsdorf we are looking for a dedicated personality as Automation Chemist for Testing and Specifications.
What is this position about?
In the Engineering business unit, customer-specific, complex systems are defined and realised according to customer requirements. This includes project management, technical project management, commissioning of the systems and service.
As an Automation Chemist, you will support our engineering team during the project engineering phase from your chemical and technical background and your experience from setting up or working with chemical systems. You will be responsible for setting up devices or systems, executing and documenting tests. You will support programming and system tests and acceptance tests with the customer.
You will cooperate with people from project management, engineering, design, manufacturing and software department and customer to realize the project and fulfill the customer needs.
Your mission

  • Commissioning and startup of devices and modules, programming robots and tools with our own automation software
  • Executing system tests and system optimization
  • Application tests on prototypes
  • Executing and documentation of tests with customer material
  • Developments and optimization on existing devices, support during system installation at customer site and customer support during system ramp up
  • Give inputs to innovative products  and solution for software and hardware
Your profile

  • A completed apprenticeship as an laboratory  technician with an HF further education or a degree at a university of applied sciences in chemical engineering, life sciences or in a comparable area 
  • Flair for technology and solid technical skills
  • Basic knowledge and skills of programming
  • Solid communication skills in English, knowledge of any further language is a plus
  • Increased willingness to travel
  • Practical experience in the area of development, handling chemicals and / or experimental methods
  • High sense of responsibility and quality as well as enthusiasm
  • Pronounced independence, drive, initiative and ability to work in a team
